Zip’s remanufactured assemblies receive all-new O-rings, dust seals, shaft seals, pinion bushings, inner tie rods, outer boots and clamps along with a 12-month/12,000 mile warranty. Check your steering prior to order as C4 Corvettes have both Sport and Standard options. Standard steering has approximately 2 1/2 turns lock-to-lock; Sport (fast ratio) has approximately 2 full turns. Zip also has available to complete your C4 rack & pinion installation kits designed with the correct outer tie rod ends and pump pressure hose – consider a Zip completion kit with your rack & pinion purchases to ensure you have the right parts when you need them. Remanufactured C4 Corvette rack & pinion assemblies are sold on exchange; add $350.00 core charge if rebuildable assembly does not accompany order. Returned core must be complete and undamaged to qualify for a full refund of core charge. Steering rack housings with cracks due to front end damage or misuse are not eligible for core refunds.Note: The number one cause for premature rack & pinion failure is the use of dirty or old power steering fluid. Power steering systems must be fully flushed to ensure debris and wear particles are removed from the system. Warranty will be void if system is not flushed prior to installation.
